An old wish that never dies: learning how to play guitar I have liked musical instruments during all my life, but I have never learned how to play anyone. One of the instruments I like the most is the guitar. I find that (acoustic) guitar has a very sweet sound. A long time ago I was learning playing guitar because a musician friend was teaching me, but unfortunately I had to stop it because of the high school, I wanted to have good grades. I wanted to buy one, but every time I have the whole money something came and then I had to spend it on that. My bigger brother promised to give me one but he never kept his promise. Last year, in the middle of all the problems I had with my final degree project, I started learning how to play a recorder, the sound was great but when I travel to my parents ‘house I forgot it there and my sister took it to her house and I could never take it back. It was sad since I bought that instrument due to I couldn´t afford a guitar yet. So, at the end I didn´t keep the recorder, the money or guitar, I kept nothing. Now I´m still thinking about it, I don´t know why but I think about it almost every day. Maybe it´s because I hear some songs that have these sweet sounds. I know I´m not a student anymore, that I must face professional life, that I must focus on other things like finding a job and getting more knowledge about my studies, but it´s an old wish that never dies, most people think it´s stupid because it´s not related with my studies, but it´s something that is on my mind and heart and I think I need to fulfill it. After all, life is also about doing things we enjoy.

I have liked musical instruments during all my life, but I have never learned how to play anyone. One of the instruments I like the most is the guitar. I find that (acoustic) guitar has a very sweet sound. A long time ago I was learning to playing guitar because a musician friend was teaching me, but unfortunately I had to stop it because of the high school. I wanted to get good grades. I wanted to buy one, but every time I have had enough money something came up and then I had to spend it on that. My bigger brother promised to give me one but he never kept his promise.

Last year, in the middle of all the problems I had with my final degree project, I started learning how to play the recorder. The sound was great but when I traveled to my parents house I left it there and my sister took it to her house and I could never get it back. It was sad since I bought that instrument due to the fact that I couldn´t afford a guitar yet. So, at the end I didn´t keep the recorder, the money or get a guitar. I was left with nothing.

Now I´m still thinking about it. I don´t know why but I think about it almost every day. Maybe it´s because I hear some songs that have had these sweet sounds. I know I´m not a student anymore, that I must face the professional life, that I must focus on other things like finding a job and getting more knowledge about my studies, but it´s an old wish that never dies, most people think it´s stupid because it´s not related with my studies, but it´s something that is on my mind and heart and I think I need to fulfill it.
