Maternity leave in Russia
The maternity leave in Russia can last maximum 3 years. But women can return to their works every time. There's recently a trend to return earlier, becouse a child money in Russia is too small. Our state try to change this situation and want to make mothers stay home longer. Since next year there won't no more creche in Russia. Children can go to the kindergarten only when they are three.
But unfortunately our state doesn't try to make the child money higher. Now after child birth mothers get only once 4 thousands dollars snd then 40% of salary monthly. When a child is 1,5 year mothers start ger 1,5 dollar monthly.
Since 1. January 2007 there is a programm of the maternity capital in Russia. After the birth of second child a family gets more then 10 thousands dollars as a support.

Our state is trying to change this situation and wants to make mothers stay home longer. Since next year there will be no creche anymore in Russia. Children can go to the kindergarten only in the age of three.
But unfortunately our state doesn't try to make the child money higher. Now when the child is born mothers get only one 100% monthly salary and then 40% of salary monthly. When a child is 1,5 year mothers start to get 60 roubles (1 dollar) monthly.
Since 1. January 2007 there is a programm of the maternity capital in Russia. After the birth of second child a family gets more than 300 000 roubles (approx. 5 thousands dollars) as a support.
