I enjoy traditional markets Rolling in the market: the tianguis Here in Mexico, there are some fantastic rolling places where you can buy furnitures, fruits, vegetables, clothes, shoes and many more things, they are called: tianguis or mercado sobre ruedas. Tianguis is a heritage nahuatl word Tianquiztli which means mercado but curiously Pleiades too. We can found the first references to this kind of commerce in the books of Hernán Cortés, where he told about a kind of great markets settled in central places at specific week's days. Fortunately, tianguis did not ended with Spanish Conquer. Since these days until today, their sites and times of operation are regulated for traditional community agrees. For example, in many places the tianguis only has one day to operate but in others, tianguis has operations everyday; moreover, tianguis had especialized their seller products which is the case of Chiconcuac tianguis in Mexico state, where sellers has majorly warm clothes. A visit to tianguis is not implies just buy a lot of things because have many traditional mexican food for visitants, in Chiconcuac you can eat a delicious sheep barbacoa, quesadillas, tlacoyos and so on. I enjoy traditional markets

Rolling in the market: the tianguis

Here in Mexico, there are some fantastic rolling carts where you can buy furniture, fruit, vegetables, clothes, shoes and many more things, they are called: tianguis or mercado sobre ruedas. Tianguis is a heritage nahuatl word Tianquiztli which means mercado but curiously Pleiades too. We can find the first references to this kind of commerce in the books of Hernán Cortés, where he told about a kind of great market settled in central places on specific week days.

Fortunately, tianguis did not end with the Spanish conquest. Since that day until today, their sites and times of operation are regulated by traditional community agreements. For example, in many places the tianguis only has one day to operate but in others, the tianguis can operate everyday; moreover, tianguis often specialize in selling a certain type of product. This is the case of Chiconcuac tianguis in Mexico state, where sellers have mostly warm clothes.

A visit to the tianguis is not just to buy a lot of things, as many have traditional mexican food for visitors. In Chiconcuac you can eat a delicious sheep barbacoa, quesadillas, tlacoyos and so on. Really, I enjoy these great places for many reasons, but I especially like to see the colorful fruits and vegetables and their fragances.

I had majored in chemistry). El verbo "to major in" solo se está usado en términos de universidad y no es válido en otras situaciónes.

"especially" significa mucho en español y se usa esta palabra despues de "I" y antes del verbo (I especially like to see the fruits = me gusta mucho ver las frutas).

Buenas tardes desde South Carolina, USA,
