Mukhtar

One day we walked through the forest. Mukhtar jogged ahead and behind us, sniffing everything on his way. Suddenly we heard a ferocious barking. The dog excitedly jumped around a little furRY animal who barked back at him. Our presence inspired Mukhtar and he bravely tried to catch it but the wild animal was faster and scratched his nose. Such failure confused the dog but we stroked him and he calmed down (cheered up).

Almost perfect. Just one correction. The adjective 'furry' should be used to describe the animal.
