Excepted that time is different and it usually don’t hold Dragon Boat Race, but it goes to different village and visit relatives and friends. In the early morning, the dragon boats start sailing on the river, wherever they go, they will be welcomed by their relatives and friends ,which called“welcome dragon”. When a dragon boat is arriving to the village, the oarsmen will shoot to inform people, and the people along the river will reflect by setting off firecrackers. Arrived the bank, the relatives and friends will come to the boat and toast two rice –wine towards each of the oarsman , assisting to hanging gifts like goose chicken or colored silk on the head of the dragon. As for people like son-in –law , aunt or uncle who has close relationship with you, they will send pig or sheep. About four clock in the afternoon, the dragon boats will rest pulling in to the shore. Oarsmen will eat rice roll and cook meat lying the side of the ship ,in that case ,they don’t need to use bowls and sticks. The women and kids will come to “begging the food”. Because it said that if you eat the food on the boat, you will quell disasters and prevent misfortunes and get what you want, which has become a traditional custom. On the bank, there are many traditional activities of Miao horse, like horses ,bullfighting, trample drum etc. the girls will be in festival clothes, dancing to the drum’s rhythm. From night to morning ,young men and young and women, one asks by singing , the other answers by singing, many young men and women make acquaintance by this way, and many of them married in future.
