Whats is the Notebook for?

I've started using this site, but and I still don't know what's the notebook is for? Is it a diary or something?

This is a demonstration of what the Notebook is for : writing and submitting short pieces of text for correction. You can learn from having your mistakes corrected.

Hmm, yeah! I think it can be like a diary! ^_^ You can write down whatever you want, or the things you notice in your everyday life, writing down things to improve the language you are learning. Others can comment or correct it, and you can communicate with them through writing. :)
