A Chinese girl 's problem while learning English I am a Chinese girl, i started to learn English when i was at primary school. But i met a problem now, well, you know, in China, we have examnation-oriented education, so until now i can get a good grade in exam, but my listening and spoken English is really poor. I don't know what's the meaning of those good marks or excellent ability of reading English article, i mean i even can't communcate or express myself in English, that's ridicious! I feel depressed for this, but the good new is at least i am working on it right now, later is better than never, right? I am trying to overcome those difficulties. I have confidence in myself, i'll make it, just need a little more time.^^

I don't know what's the use of getting (meaning of) those good marks for my (or) excellent ability at (of) reading English articles, I mean I can't even (can't) communicate (communcate) or express myself in English, that's ridicious! Although I feel depressed, (for this, but) the good news is at least I am working on it right now, better late (later is better) than never, right? I am trying to overcome those difficulties. I have confidence in myself that I'll (, i'll) make it, just need a little more time.^^

I am sure that with more focus you will improve your levelof speech. Your article was well constructed and worded. Your main issue seems to be with the letter I and words formed from it such as I'll which should alwaysbe written in capitals. It is a relatively simple mistake to rectify and will mean six less errors. Good luck!

Well, you know, in China, we have an examination-oriented education, so until now I could get a good grade on an exam, but my listening and spoken English is still really poor. I don't know what the meaning is of those good marks or of an excellent ability to reading English articles. I mean I can't even communicate or express myself in English, that's ridiculous! I feel depressed by this, but the good news is at least I am working on it right now, later is better than never, right? I am trying to overcome those difficulties. I definitely think you will make it. You are off to a good start, and good reading skills will help.

Hi Cristina, I agree that the Chinese education system really doesn't encourage students to speak or express themselves in English, and the main problem I saw in China was that students were really afraid to even have a try at speaking as they were too shy.I think that now you are aware of the problem, at least you can fix it by communicating with others at every opportunity, and this way you will soon become fluent and more confident.
