In the last book that I read, the story takes place in Paris during the sixteenth century.

Of course, the city at this time was far from the current form, but it’s remarkable to think that a lot of people at this time lived in streets which are still there, could see the cathedral of Notre Dame the same as us and walked along La Seine.

On the other hand, the city was so different, much smaller, much more concentrated and the streets were very dirty because the residents of the city threw their waste directly on the street.
