Behavioral Questions (3) Hi Folks! Do you think that I explained everything clear below? Give us an example of a difficult problem at work that you have solved. Include your understanding of the causes of the problem, the actions that you took and why, and the results that you achieved. - When I was working as a Staffing Coordinator at ABC Employment Agency, there was one occasion that one of our clients - a soup factory - requested 1 part-time palletizer to work in their Re-cart department every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday on a long term basis. My co-worker and I contacted lots of our temp employees who were qualified for the workload of the position; however, nobody wanted to take a position that was scheduled like this. Most of them preferred go for either a full-time position during weekdays or part-time for the weekends only. I realized that Tuesday was the obstacle for us to find a suitable candidate. We had already placed some palletizers in another department of the same company, the work schedule in this department called ‘ continental shift’, Meaning, temp employees who worked in this department had to work every Mon, Tue, Fri, sat, sun for the first week; and wed and Thursday only for the second week. The schedule of the third week would be the same as the first week, the fouth week would be the same as the second one. It was a two weeks circle. Then an idea came to my mind, instead of having 1 part-time palletizer work on tue, sat and sun in the Re-cart department, maybe we could advise the client to dispatch the assignment to two employees with different schedules from the continental shift, who would like to take three extra shifts every other week. They have already worked in the company, familiar with work environment and reliable. The only problem is, in this case, these employees would go over time and the client would have to pay extra. So I adjusted my plan, we could find someone to work every weekend, then found two employees from continental shift to take turns to work every other Tuesday if they were only scheduled to work on wed and Thursday that week. In this case, nobody would go over time; the client wouldn’t have to pay extra. I spoke with the client about my plan and they were OK with it. After getting their approval, I easily found the three good candidates with this new arrangement. The client said to me,’ thank you for all the effort that you made to get this done.’

Behavioral Questions (3)

Hi (Comma) Folks! Do you think that I explained everything clear below?

Give us an example of a difficult problem at work that you have solved. Include your understanding of the causes of the problem, the actions that you took and why, and the results that you achieved.

When I was working as a Staffing Coordinator at ABC Employment Agency, there was one occasion that (when?) one of our clients - a soup factory - requested 1 (one) part-time palletizer to work in their Re-cart department every Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday on a long term basis. My co-worker and I contacted lots of our temp employees who were qualified for the workload of the position; however, nobody wanted to take a position that was scheduled like this. Most of them preferred (to) go for either a full-time position during weekdays or part-time for the weekends only.

I realized that Tuesday was the obstacle for us to find a suitable candidate. We had already placed some palletizers in another department of the same company, the work schedule in this department called ‘ continental shift’, Meaning, temp employees who worked in this department had to work every Mon (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sun (Sunday) for the first week; and wed (Wednesday) and Thursday only for the second week. The schedule of the third week would be the same as the first week, the fouth (fourth) week would be the same as the second one. It was a two weeks (week, circle (cycle?.)

Then an idea came to my mind, instead of having 1(one) part-time palletizer work on tues (Tuesday) sat, (Saturday) and sun (Sunday) in the Re-cart department, maybe we could advise the client to dispatch the assignment to two employees with different schedules from the continental shift, who would like to take three extra shifts every other week. They have already worked in the company, familiar with (the) work environment and reliable.

The only problem is, in this case, these employees would go over time and the client would have to pay extra. So I adjusted my plan, we could find someone to work every weekend, then found two employees from continental shift to take turns to work every other Tuesday if they were only scheduled to work on wed (Wednesday) and Thursday that week. In this case, nobody would go over time; the client wouldn’t have to pay extra.

I spoke with the client about my plan and they were OK with it. After getting their approval, I easily found the three good candidates with this new arrangement. The client said to me,’ thank you for all the effort that you made to get this done.’
