About histories history
We are thinking think that we really know THE histories, true history because we have learned those it from teachers, or books, or people who lived in that time.However, I think a history has many side sides as that we don't know yet, because we just have learned (or just heard) one of the side thing sides.
So, you need to learn a history from many sides with throw away your stereotype as you’ve been believing without a predisposition to believe "it is the truth". Then you will finally see what really happened in that time, but though it probably it still isn't completed completely "the truth".
That is what Japanese students and I learned things for about how to studying a history in naturally.
We just apologize first, even if we have something to say our side things from our point of view, because it's the most wrong worst thing we just to say "I am the right! You are wrong". If we think that way, Because we will know that then we're going to be a blind in many things, even think never thinking about other side and never improve improving own self ourselves.

Of course in the case of war crimes, there is the experience of the victims and the experience of the criminals who perpetrate the crimes. The perpetrators, we may acknowledge, are part of a system, a culture, or a chain of command and from time to time, depending on the circumstances, are victimised themselsves through the perpetration of their crimes. However that may be, the HIS-story of the perpetrator, even when truthfully retold, in no way over-rides the experience or the HER-story of the victims.
