english learning Hello! Today I want to speak about my learning progresses. Since September I'm trying to improve my english skills. I have studied english for a long time at school, but I relized that I had just memorized a lot of grammar rules, but I wasn't really able to speak english fluently: every moment I was wondering if I was makin grammar mistakes! Then I understood that I prefer become a fluent speaker rather than a perfect speaker, because in the first case I would be able to communicate, even if my grammar is not the best; in the second case it would require a very long time before I would be able to say a word to someone. So, now I'm trying to practise english more and more. I use italki to improve my written english, because here I can find a lot of kind people who can correct my textes (on purpose: thank you very very much!), and I can also read some interesting articles to improve my reading skills, as well. I'm becoming a better listener thanks to all the videos and tv series that I'm watching every day. And eventually I'm training my spoken english thank to my conversations with a friend of mine, who live in my city and is trying to improve his english, as well. I think that step by step my english is becoming better (even if I still do lots of errors...) and I hope to grow my english knowledge more and more!

Hey Clara,

Great job and keep up the good work! Remember to capitalize the E in English ;)

Also, I have an article that appeared here on italki that covers some great free strategies for learning a language faster! Check it out at http://www.englishfix.net/study/learn-english-faster/.

english learning (English)

Hello!

Today I want to speak about my learning progresses.

Since September I'm (I've <= I have> been) trying to improve my english (English) skills.

I have studied english (English) for a long time at school, but I relized (realized) that I had just memorized a lot of grammar rules, but (and) I wasn't really able to speak english (English) fluently: (.) every (Every) moment I was wondering if I was making grammar mistakes!

Then I understood that I prefer to become a fluent speaker rather than a perfect speaker, because in the first case I would be able to communicate, even if my grammar is not the best; in the second case it would require a very long time  (lot of time) before I would be able to say a word to someone.

So, now I'm trying to practise (practice) english (English) more and more. I use italki to improve my written english (English), because here I can find a lot of kind people who can correct my textes (texts) (on purpose: thank you very very much!), and I can also read some interesting articles to improve my reading skills, as well. I'm becoming a better listener thanks to all the videos and tv series that I'm watching every day.

And eventually I'm training (practicing would be better here)my spoken english (English) thanks to my conversations with a friend of mine, who lives in my city and is trying to improve his english (English), as well.

I think that step by step my english (English) is becoming better (even if I still do (make) lots of errors...) and I hope to grow  (increase or improve would be better here) my english (English) knowledge (you could also say comprehension) more and more!
