I have a question about grammar and want to ask you for help.
Here's the question: Is this your daughter?
The answer is Yes, she is or Yes, it is. ?
I don't think there's much differenceđ

Yes, she is.
The daughter is a girl and a person. So we say âsheâ.
Same for wife, girlfriend, sister, female friend and grandmother.
Son, husband, boyfriend, male friend and grandfather would be âheâ.
Saying âitâ can be seen as rude because it is a person. Some people even find it rude if you call a dog or a cat âitâ instead of âheâ or âsheâ.
âItâ is for objects and animals mostly.
