I’ve been putting a lot of effort into studying Korean recently because I didn’t pass the Korean class in the spring semester. I was only five points away from getting the credit, which was really disappointing for me. After that, I decided not to give up and started studying more seriously. Since the summer vacation, I’ve been using an app called “Duolingo” to practice Korean every single day. It’s a fun and convenient way to study because I can learn even during short breaks or while commuting. I mainly focus on vocabulary and pronunciation through the app, and I try to repeat the sentences out loud to improve my speaking skills.
This semester, I’ve also been reviewing what I learned before in class. I take notes carefully while listening to the lectures, and I try to understand the grammar points I struggled with last time. Even though it’s sometimes hard to keep up with everything, I can feel that I’m improving little by little. My goal this time is to pass the class and finally earn the credit that I missed in the spring. I really want to prove to myself that my hard work will pay off.
