Are these sentences grammatically correct and natural enough?
1) Our country has got into the clutches of bootlickers.
2) I used to do strenuous/bone-breaking work while teaching students.

Hi Farhana,
1. I would replace "got" with "fallen": Our country has fallen into the clutches of bootlickers. (Although the question occurs to me, if the power is indeed in the hands of the bootlickers, whose boots are they licking? ;)
2. This sentence is fine, although I'm not sure bone-breaking is the best adjective. Perhaps "back-breaking" would fit better (assuming you mean physically difficult rather than mentally or emotionally difficult)
