Happy Dragon Boat Festival! šš¶
While most people know it for the exciting dragon boat races, for me, the best part is the foodāZongzi (ē²½å)! š„¢
These sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves are a true test of patience and chopstick skills. š
Fun Fact for my students:
In Chinese, we say "端åå®åŗ·" (DuÄnwĒ ÄnkÄng) instead of "Happy Holidays." It means "Wishing you peace and health," because this festival is traditionally about warding off disease and bad luck.
Question for you:
Have you ever tried Zongzi? Do you prefer the sweet ones (red bean paste) or the savory ones (pork/fresh meat)? Let me know in the comments! š
