Do we use "to" after verb "want"?

I want TO + verb
I want to know
I want something
I want one piece.
Maybe you are mixing it up with 'won't',which is a contraction of 'will not'
Here you use a verb after it without TO.
I won't tell her.
I will not tell her.

want + TO- infinitive of course --->I want to study English next year.
Note that we cannnot say: I want that ....it is incorrect.
After 'want' we are supposed to use an object, so:
---> I want you go with me to the party. That's correct.

Only before a verb!
Example: I want to swim.
If it's before a noun, don't use "to".
Example: I want food.
