What is the original order of this sentence? I read this sentence from the novel " Pride and Prejuduce" "However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters." I am confused with the sentence structure "However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood”. As my understanding, it is an inverted sentence, but what is its original order?

The feelings of the man are little known in this neighbourhood.

The whole paragraph focusses on the "truth" that a new man in town is immediately claimed by one of the neighbour's daughters, in spite of what the new man actually thinks or feels about the situation.

However, such a man's feelings and views may be little known when he first enter a neighbourhood. It basically means when this man first moves into the neighbourhood, people don't really know him well. People are curious of him. In this case, especially the Bennet daughters are interested in getting to know him, a wealthy single man.

The feelings of the man are little known in this neighbourhood. Remember that Jane Austen was writing in a different time when people spoke in this fashion. That it is why it is hard for us to understand her meaning at times.
