What does あっての mean ?
Could someone explain how do we use the grammar 「
I searched it up on my dictionary (WWWJDIC) but the definitions are very confusing and not useful at all.
Basically I was wondering what does あっての mean ?

something 2 work or exist(or run, consists of etc . there are several possibility so that work or exist are suitabele to get meaning, I guess) because of exsitance of something 1
My English explanation might be wired, so, please recorrect if it is strange. Anyway, (good) working or existance of something2 need sufficient working or existance of something1. Something 1 is precondition or underling something2. If there is a sentence which is not apply this, please tell me, thank you.
