Is the part in quote correctly used in the following sentence? I am very fortunate to have started learning English "early at 7 years of age".

I'd rather say I am very fortunate to learn English language at an early age of 7.

I am very fortunate to have started learning English early, at 7 years of age. The comma (,) is not necessary, but I think it sounds better that way. Good job! :-)
