Hi, Enrico. 其实每年的11月11号都是光棍节，今年2011.11.11因为有连续的6个1，所以被称为本世纪最大的一个光棍节。读大学时，我们学校一般会在那天举办一个单身舞会，还有些男生会选择在当天向他心爱的女生表白，自此告别单身生活，寝室的同学或者朋友都会在当天出去聚餐庆祝，这次的光棍节我们也约好了，去吃火锅，然后唱KTV. :)))

在中文里，1是“单”，2是“双”，Single中文是“单身”，11/11/11有6个1，就是非常的“单”所以叫做Singles Day

在中国叫光棍节。光棍庆祝的节日。很有点戏谑的味道。
