What's the difference between these words?
They all appear on my GRE vocabulary book. I hope I won't use these words at all but still want to know the difference between them: abhorrence, detestation, hatrede, abomination, animosity, antipathy, aversion.

Abhor - to dislike intensely, perhaps with a feeling of unease about the subject. This word makes me think of "horror" so I only use it when I really don't like something.
detest - the same as abhor, pretty much.
hatred - an emotional feeling of dislike that lingers; the opposite of love.
abomination - an event or action that seems totally wrong or immoral.
animosity - a feeling of non-cooperation, a suspicion of another or a willingness to sabotage.
antipathy - The opposite of empathy - a dislike so strong you do not care what happens to the person.
aversion - a dislike that specifically causes one to avoid a situation.

err.......for better and best explanations, please refer to your dictionary, no offense, because these words you are asking are not commonly used in daily English.
