the use of onion If i am not mistaken, i have heard a dialog in a movie said that "she's an onion" meaning, the person is easy to cry. she's an onion, or i am an onion, Can i use this phrase to describe a person like that? thank you in advance

It means that like an onion this person has many layers , is complicated . Being like an onion is not about crying.

I agree with the other people, I've never heard that expression before, but sometimes "they're like an onion..." but even that usually demands some futher explanation, it's not a common enough expression to be accepted as is.

Language can be very creative. However, I've never heard anyone describe someone that way. If someone said, "She's an onion," I would think that the person being talked about made other people cry. ^o^
