Hi, you have to learn all of them. To each noun belongs an " Artikel ", it depends on the gender. The easiest way to remember them is, to consult a dictionary, because nouns are always written together with they`r " Artikel ". And, only nouns can have an Artikel.

You can't. Well, not exactly. There are lots of rules, and there are exceptions to these rules. Some rules have no exceptions. I suggest Googling "German gender" and reading more detail on what you find.

There are some rules to determine the gender in german but all of them have many exceptions, so the only way to learn the gender of each noun in german is by memorization. A good way to memorize the genders is to make a list of nouns together with the correct article and read this list many times until you memorize it. But the best way to learn the correct article is to read and listen the language until you get used to the correct form. The basic rules you should know is that words ended with "-e" are almost always feminine (for example: die Lade, die Nase,....), words ended with "-ung", "-heit", "-in" are always feminine (for example: die Bedeutung, die Freiheit, die Studentin,...), words with diminutive suffixe "-chen" and "-lein" are always neuter (das Mädchen), foreign words (especially those borrowed from latin) are usually neuter (das Auto, das Radio). There are many other rules but all these rules have many exceptions, the only way to learn the exceptions is memorizing it.

'Die' is used with nouns of feminine gender, 'der' - masculine, 'das' - neuter.

Here are some learning tips regarding the articles: http://www.italki.com/notebook/entry/13850.htm http://www.italki.com/notebook/entry/13851.htm http://www.italki.com/notebook/entry/13852.htm (Simply memorizing the articles would be a time-wasting drudgery.)
