Immoral is the opposite of moral. An immoral action is a bad action; it is evil. Amoral or non-moral means simply "not moral." For example, an animal behaves amorally. "Non-moral" also suggests that the action has no moral value, while "amoral" suggests a moral value of 0 ... if that makes sense....

I suppose if there are good morals and bad morals, the opposite of moral would be amoral, but I had not thought of it that way before.
