The person sometimes wants to not wakeup but recommends that you do get up
The person feels as if they owe someone for being able to wakeup after passing out or overdosing several times
They do not love what they are addicted too
their addiction causes them grief

I think it means to encourage someone to have a positive way towards the future life and never feel distressed. Because life is not always so smooth to us. We need to try our best to adjust our lifestyle if possible.
