sorry for that 应该是对于之前说过的话或事情表示抱歉， I am sorry to hear that 应该是我感到伤心或惋惜，一般是用在人家提到伤心事的时候，向对方表示自己的难过

如果听别人说了一件悲伤的事情，难道说“很抱歉”或“很遗憾”吗，不好吧。谢谢你们，不过我意思不是说要翻译。比如一个人说：我的猫死了。英文还可以说：sorry to hear that。但中文怎么样说啊。
