For Steve Winwood (author and composer of a band named 'Traffic')
he is somebody 'who should die', but only because he impersonates the
raw ingredients (barney) that will make beer, whisky and other alcoholic
beverages, and the endless cycles of Nature as experienced by a good farmer: death is harvesting.
