最近我做paragliding (parachute)，可是我不知道應該用那個字。

parachute是名词，滑翔伞；paragliding是is paragliding, 用滑翔伞做滑翔的动作。

滑翔傘 is the correct one.

我也不是很清楚。 单词的意思是 跳伞运动吧？ 两个词都不是很符合吧。
