The difference between 'necessitate' and 'entail'
It seems to me that the two word can replace each other in many occasions. Could anyone give some example reflecting the difference bewteen them._
By the way, it the sentence right?
'Gender equality is entailed in a civilized society'

Yes, the words are interchangeable. If anything, "entail" is a bit more forceful.
And yes, the sentence is written correctly, although it's not always true. :)
