ist dat "Ich Spreche kein Deutsch" oder "Ich Spreche nicht Deutsch"? I have learnt the first one but my parents have learnt the second one. Is there any difference? Please explain it in English because otherwise I won't be able to understand :s Danke :)

Ich Spreche kein Deutsch Use 'kien' for anything you could express as a quantity. If you are speaking of something that can only be expressed as a quality (rather than quantity), then use 'nicht'. "Das Auto ist nicht rot." In this case "I speak no German." In English we could say "I do not speak German." and be correct. However, German requires a definite separation in the use of 'kein' and 'nicht'

I don't think there's any difference. BTW, I usually say: Ich kann kein Deutsch. Deutsch kann ich nicht.
