Quick pronunciation question: 있어 vs. 있어요 ㅓ has the sound [eo]. When I listen to people say 재미있어 and 가고 싶어, I can hear the [eo]. But when you make it polite, 재미있어요 and 가고 싶어요, it sounds like it changes to the same sound as "oy" in soy sauce. I'm not sure what the phonetic spelling would be for that. Am I hearing that right? Is there a liaison between 어 and 요 that slightly changes the pronunciation of 어? Or is it just because it's being said quickly?

it's just because it's said quickly, i'm pretty sure the pronunciation stays the same for 어[eo].
