Difference between plug and socket
How to say this: a plastic with some holes in which you can connect or plug electronic device, and there is the long one too so you can plug many electronic, and it has cable to connect it with a plug in the wall. I googled it, and found out this: multi-plug socket. Is is the right term to call this thing? and is there any differences between plug and socket.
Thanks in advance

A plug goes into a socket. Electronics, lamps, etc. have cables with plugs on the end. Your wall will have sockets. You plug the plug into the socket.
A power strip is a plastic strip that has many sockets where you can plug in many devices. It has a cable with a plug that can plug into a wall socket.
I hope that makes sense.
