What does "도" mean in this sentence ?
Hello everyone, here is the sentence that I would like to understand more precisely.
I understand the sentence as a whole and I actually have a translation of it, but I don't understand what "도", after "온 지", adds to the sentence's meaning. In the translation of the sentence that is given, "도" is not translated.
(Here is the translation : "It has been siw months since Nam Joo came to Korea.")
It seems like the sentence would make sense even without this "도" but I suppose that it's here for a reason, so can you explain me what it means in this sentence ?

As Nam stated above, the additive particle "도" used to emphasize the fact she got back to Korea and six months passed. Similarly"는/가" also can be used instead of "도", a bit different in nauance though like "남주가...
Without "도" in here, it makes sense but it will be a plain statement.

It has already been six months since Nam Joo came to Korea.
It is six months that .......
----
