Tom: Why are you so rude this morning to all the people in the office? Joe: My wife did not cook me any breakfast. She was too lazy to get up. Tom: Well, don't take it out on us! Joe: I apologize. Tom: No problem. Let's go to the cafeteria. They're serving ham and eggs this morning.

In this context, 'it' would mean anger. For example, some one is in a bad mood. You ask them a question but they answer you harshly. In this case you would say, "Don't take it (your anger) out on me!"
