what's the origin of the idiom "cheese somebody off "
I found it means to make somebody annoyed, bored or frustrated on dictionary. But i was confused, why did it means that? Where's the origin from?

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the origin of the idiom "cheesed off" is unknown. Its first known use is in 1942.
