tangy flavor-I've never really got my head around the meaning of the word.
I've read the definitions of the word and it says 'having a sharp taste or odor'. Sharp? what kind of taste is that ? Is it sour or hot? Could you elaborate it a little more? thank you.

Tangy is normally associated with a sharp taste. For example a lemon or lime would be classed as tangy. It is definitely not defined as hot.

Tangy can also describe sour.
