First of all I'd break the sentence down pointwise to simplify it, each of your clauses joined with conjunctions can become a simple bullet point sentence. then each can be translated in turn: This is my research plan. 我在打算这样的研究：（1）make a list of the students' grammatical errors 先要列举学生的语法错误 (2) try to explain each.... This is only a guess, my Chinese is probably no better than yours, but that is how i would go about it
