虎代表(着)勇气 In Chinese horoscopes you typically see a passage like this: 虎代表勇气。你做任何事情都充满活力和热情。你的脑子里充满了很多很多新的思想。 My question is two-hold. 1. I have also seen a different version of the first sentence with 着 ("虎代表着勇气") elsewhere. What is the difference between the two? I can't seem to figure out when and when not to use 着. 2. The second and third sentences both have the same verb 充满 but one comes with 了 and the other doesn't. 为什么呢？Perhaps to avoid sounding repetitious?

着，了，过作为语气词的时候，这三个字都可写可不写，这三句句子从实际上来说是没有本质区别的。没有着，了，过的句子，sometimes，more official！

these are questions about the aspects of the action and their marker【了，着，过】着 is a marker of progressive action。虎代表勇气 and 虎代表着勇气 are the same。 for simple present tense can express the progressive action. in most European languages，there is not a progressive tense like [be doing] in English.

着means some actions undergoing 她走着走着，走进了电影院。她看电影，看着看着，流眼泪了。 or describe a status 苹果树上长着苹果。 when without 着，it means it simply state a fact(somtimes it can be judgy) 苹果树长苹果。东北地方长苹果水瓶座代表感性。（The Aquarius are sentimental)
