What exactly is your question? There are a few things that can change depending on how complex the sentence is. Fo example:
I like cats.
猫(ねこ=cats)が好き(すき=to like)です。
I dont like dogs because I like cats.
猫が好きから、犬(いぬ=dogs)が好きじゃないです。
(Here, the reason why comes first and then the result)
I like dogs more than cats.
犬(いぬ)より猫が好きです.
First you sat the think that is superior and then the secondary option comes next.
"Dogs more than cats i like."
I hope this helped. It really depends on what you want to say exactly because the order changes accordingly.

I like cats = わたしはねこがすきです。
The word order of this sentence in Japanese is like "I cats like."

I mentioned a basic thing of Japanese because I just don't want to write incorrect things. When speaking, we even say ネコが(わたしは) すき。ネコがすき(わたしは)。sometimes but fluency is important.

(わたしは) ネコがすき needs to be 'I cats like' in terms of your sentence order.
Japanese people often skip a subject like 'I' (=わたし は) so it might be OK to omit it here. However a subject like (わたし は) is basically put at the beginning of a sentence aside from the exceptions. But in the example “cats I like”, the subject is in the middle.
