In the phrase: "Eine Sprache ist niemals genug."
Why is the "S" in the word "Sprache" capitalized?
Should I always capitalize the "S" in "Sprache" in all sentences?
What are the basic rules of capitalization in German?

In German all nouns are capitalised, like proper nouns in English.

Another remarkable difference between German and other languages is that adjectives based on nationality are not capitalized. For example: The German language. == Die deutsche Sprache. I am still making mistakes with these adjectives when I am writing quickly.

In addition to Jmat, if you can place der, die or das in front of a word then that word is capitalized.
