In or under the circumstance? Which preposition is correct for the word"circumstance",in case both are right,do they have some distinctions between two different situations?Thank you.

p.s. note that the expression is 'Under the circumstances' not 'Under the circumstance'

Both are correct. 'Under the circumstances' is slightly more common.
