Porridge, congee
What's the defference between these two words? Which one do you usually use in US or UK?
If I feed my toddler, can I say "Come and eat a small bite of rice porridge/congee" ?
Also if you're in the restaurant, which word will often be used in the menu?

In the US it would be oatmeal instead of porridge. If it was from rice, simply rice cereal(mainly for toddlers). There is also one from wheat called far in a, usually called Cream of Wheat (that is the brand name)

I've never heard of congee, so I would use rice porridge. In some places it might be called rice pudding.
