What's the difference between suffer sth. and suffer from sth.?
I really can't tell the difference between suffer sth. and suffer from sth. Please help me with this. Thank you so much!

If you suffer from something, it means that it is making you feel pain or unpleasantness.
"He suffers from arthritis."
If you suffer something, it means that you endure it or put up with it, even though it is unpleasant or even painful.
"I don't suffer idiots very well." = I don't have any patience with idiots.
