'Kansha' in Japanese..?
How is '' 感謝 (かんしゃ) '' different than " ありがとう " in Japanese?
Thanks! And in which situations is 感謝 used?

感謝 is a verb, when you use it in a sentence, you have to say 感謝する or 感謝します
ありがとう is served as a noun, I think, that's why they put ございます, the modest expression of です after it.
感謝 is used more often in formal situation like writing.
Hope it helps.

Yes. I have just found out that it exists in lots of Asian languages and they have, if not the same, similar sounds.

I think "感謝" is exactly from Chinese, since they have the same word meaning exactly "thank you"
