Road, way or street? What are the differences between the words road, way and street? I don't see big difference in Italian translation. Thanks very much!

Road: Commonly used to refer to the part between towns. To me, Road implies transport, and sections of routes which are not really populated. Way: Is a generic term for a path that provides access, it doesn't have to be one specific path, it could be just a direction, or it could be a route made of many streets, roads etc. 'This is the way to the school' (pointing out a route to the school), 'the House is that way' (pointing towards the house). It is also used outside of Transport 'This is the way we wash our teeth' (speaker demonstrates brushing method) Street: Generally a road that is populated, in an urban setting. Most likely the street has residences or occupied buildings side by side, on one or both sides of the street.
