'in winter' or 'in the winter'?
If I want to describe something I usually do in (the) winter, which sentence should I pick:
I usually do A in the winter, or:
I usually do A in winter.

Both "in winter" and "in the winter" are fine. The only time you must use "the" is if talking about a specific winter, which doesn't apply to your sentence.
