Could you tell me the differences between "a flock of customers" and "a herd of customers"?

"Flock" implies that they're moving quickly, like birds. "Herd" implies that they're a bit rough and they trample everything in their path, like cattle.

Like Susan says, except that a 'flock' can also refer to a number of sheep. Both phrases imply a large number of people together, moving as one unit.
