What's the meaning of 'stretches us enough'. Dialog from 2 studends in college. 'I enjoyed singing when I was at school, so I joined a group when I came to college. I don't think the conductor stretches us enough, though, so I'll give up after the next concert.' What's the meaning of 'stretches us enough'.

In this context, it means that the conductor is not challenging the student enough. The student wants to sing harder songs.
