When should I use " to me " and " for me " ?

For means purpose, belong and so on. "For me" is directed at something that belongs or is dedicated to you. "These chocolates are for me." To means toward a place, person or thing. "To me" is representing that someone/something is giving that object to you. "My father sent these chocolates to me."
