better than anything he could remember tasting in a long time The orange juice was good, better than anything he could remember tasting in a long time. He thought about going out to get something to eat. It would be too risky to sit in a restaurant and order a meal, but he toyed with the idea just the same. He wanted a steak. And a beer to wash it down. what does "better than anything he could remember tasting in a long time" mean? how about " he toyed with the idea just the same" ?

He drank the orange juice and he thought it tasted great. It tasted so good, that it was better than any other drink that he had had recently. It was better than any other drink he'd had for quite a long time. It was the best drink and nothing had been better, from what he could remember.
